Thousand Island Dressing Version 2

I like homemade Thousand Island Dressing - it tastes better, and has less chemicals.

Ingredients:

  • 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickles, diced very small
  • 1 tablespoon sweet onion, finely minced
  • 2 or 3 dashes of Kosher salt (about 1⁄8 teaspoon?)
  • 1 dash black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Mix everything together, and use as a dip or on sandwiches.
(Great on Reuben sandwiches - this makes enough for 6 sandwiches plus some leftovers.)
  2. Note: Add 1 or more tablespoons of milk to put on a salad.

Carole's Notes:

We all like this! I never have an ancient bottle of Thousand Island Dressing in my refrigerator - I just make it when I need it.
