Candy Bar Cookie Bars

We had too few Trick or Treaters, and a lot of leftover Halloween candy. I modified my Over the Top Cookie Bars from last year to make Candy Bar Cookie Bars to give as a small thank-you for donations at the Heifer International table at the WPPC Global Market.

Over the Top Candy Cookie Sourdough Bars

I've been thinking of a way to use up my leftover Halloween candy. I imagined a cookie dough shortbread base that could also be used a streusel on a bar had both a caramel layer and a chopped candy bar layer.  I came up with this mix of my Chocolate Chip Sourdough Blondies and Millionaire Shortbread Bars.

Chocolate Dulce de Leche

I wanted to make a thick chocolate caramel filling for the cookie bars I was planning to make on Saturday. I adapted ideas from a couple of recipes, and made up a chocolate Dulce de Leche.

Mini Pear Bundt Cakes with Caramel Sauce

Doug brought home some pears from Massachusetts that just would not ripen. They were repurposed into Mini Pear Breads, and Mini Pear Bundtlette Cakes, both topped with Caramel Sauce.

Chocolate Pecan Caramel Kringle

It's Jennifer's birthday today, so I made my first Kringle. Actually, it's King Arthur's #bakealong version of Kringle, with a Chocolate Pecan Caramel topping. (I made 4, and will take 3 to social hour tomorrow.)

Honey Bourbon Caramel Loquat Apple Pie

The loquats are in season (well, mostly), so I decided to make a Honey Bourbon Caramel Loquat Apple Pie. With a touch of bourbon, because that was in the recipe I was adapting.
