Honey Buns

I was planning to make savory snacks for Doug to take to the church worship video recording session, but he suggested I make something with honey on Friday afternoon.  I decided to re-try Honey Buns.  I had some notes for when I made a mini muffin pan version several years ago, but this time decided to go with more doughnut-sized versions.

Cinnamon Apple Swirl Rolls

I have been baking snacks (bribes?) for the video/sound/worship crew, and have been thinking about sourdough cinnamon rolls for a while. I saw a fancy version, which I adapted for these Cinnamon Apple Swirl Rolls, since Doug likes apple fritters. I made a double batch using a soft dough recipe I like.

Oven Baked Plantains

My mom was interested in having some sweet fried plantains for dinner sometime. We got some greenish plantains from the grocery store, and waited a few days for them to turn more yellow and have a few black spots. (We wanted to use medium ripe plantains so they would be sweet.)
