Air Fryer Salmon and Broccoli

I wanted to try cooking salmon and broccoli at the same time in my air fryer.  It worked!

Ingredients:

Salmon:
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 tbsp sriracha hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, powder
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 five to six ounce salmon fillets
Broccoli:
  • 8 ounces frozen broccoli florets (thawed and drained)
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, powder
  • 1 tablespoon Romano cheese
  • Dash of salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Remove salmon from package and pat dry.
  3. Mix marinade together.
  4. Brush each fillet with marinade, let sit for 10 minutes while preparing broccoli.
  5. Lightly oil a top rack for air fryer with nonstick spray.
  6. Add olive oil, garlic to a  medium bowl, stir. Add broccoli, stir.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper, to taste.
  8. Place the salmon skin side down in the air fryer basket.
  9. Place broccoli in a single layer on a rack above salmon.
  10. Air fry for 7-9 minutes, depending on this thickness of the salmon.
(You may need to finish  salmon for a couple of minutes without the broccoli.)
  11. Open basket and check for desired temperature with a thermometer - look for 145 degrees.
  12. Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds before serving.
  13. Sprinkle broccoli with Romano cheese before serving,

Carole's Notes:

We liked this! It went well with Balsamic Tomatoes.
