I wanted to try cooking salmon and broccoli at the same time in my air fryer. It worked!
Ingredients:
Salmon:
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 tbsp sriracha hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic, powder
- sesame seeds for garnish
- 2 five to six ounce salmon fillets
Broccoli:
- 8 ounces frozen broccoli florets (thawed and drained)
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic, powder
- 1 tablespoon Romano cheese
- Dash of salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Remove salmon from package and pat dry.
- Mix marinade together.
- Brush each fillet with marinade, let sit for 10 minutes while preparing broccoli.
- Lightly oil a top rack for air fryer with nonstick spray.
- Add olive oil, garlic to a medium bowl, stir. Add broccoli, stir.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Place the salmon skin side down in the air fryer basket.
- Place broccoli in a single layer on a rack above salmon.
- Air fry for 7-9 minutes, depending on this thickness of the salmon.
(You may need to finish salmon for a couple of minutes without the broccoli.) - Open basket and check for desired temperature with a thermometer - look for 145 degrees.
- Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds before serving.
- Sprinkle broccoli with Romano cheese before serving,
Carole's Notes:
We liked this! It went well with Balsamic Tomatoes.
