Doug suggested I try a chocolate martini at a recent company dinner. We decided to make a chocolate mint one for our at-home New Year's Eve.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounces Bailey's Irish Cream (we may use half and half cream or milk next time)
- 1 ounces chocolate liquor or creme de cacao (we used Mozart chocolate dark)
- 1/2 ounce Creme de Menthe (we used the green De Kuyper - which turn our drink green!)
- 4 or so Ades Creme de Menthe Candies
- Dark chocolate shavings
Instructions:
- Melt the Andes candies, and decorate the rim of two glasses (swirl some inside the glass as well!)
- Mix together with 1 cup ice in a shaker
-- or --
double the ingredients and mix in a heavy blender with 1 cup of ice - Serve with Cheetos or Ruffles and onion dip!
Carole's Notes:
We liked this - but it is very potent. We probably will either use regular cream, or blend it with ice in the Vitamix next time.
The recipe is still a bit of a work-in-progress, but we adapted it from https://preppykitchen.com/chocolate-martini/
