I was looking for a way to use canned green beans with dinner, and added some bacon.
Ingredients:
- 2 strips of bacon
- 1 tablespoon oil (as needed)
- 1/2 cup onion, sliced in thin strips
- optional - leftover mushroom stems, diced small
- 1 can green beans, drained and patted dry
Instructions:
- Saute the bacon in a skillet until crisp, and then dice. Place to the side on a small plate.
- Saute the onion (and mushroom pieces) in 1 tablespoon of oil or bacon fat until translucent
- Add in green beans, heat until warm
- Sprinkle in bacon bits, stir and sever.

I liked this much better than green beans straight from a can!
