Ingredients:
- 1 red onion (or 1/2 of a large Vidalia onion), very thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 - 1.5 tablespoon honey (or granulated sugar)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
- Heat water, vinegars, sugar, and spices for 2 minutes or so in the microwave to reach simmering.
- Place thinly sliced onions in 16 ounce glass or plastic container.
- Pour the hot liquid on top of the onions, and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
