We had some fresh pineapple, and some deli ham, and they came together in Hawaiian Pizza.
The toppings were lightly adapted from http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2014/08/29/hawaiian-pizza/
Ingredients:
- 1 recipe Sourdough Pizza Crust
(I used the 1 teaspoon of yeast option for a faster rising crust) - 1/2 cup (127g) pizza sauce
(optional if cooking for Alex) - 1 and 1/2 cups (6oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (75g) cooked ham or Canadian bacon, sliced or chopped
(I used deli ham) - 1/2 cup (82g) pineapple chunks
(fresh is best, but canned is will work too) - 3 slices pre-cooked bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions:
- Make up the Sourdough Pizza Crust through Step 12.
(Or use a prepared pizza crust such as Boboli.) - While the dough is rising or pre-baking, gather the rest of the ingredients.
- Top the partially baked crust with pizza sauce, then cheese, ham, and baon
- Bake for another 4 to 5 minutes.

We liked it! I used my Sourdough Pizza Crust recipe with the 1 teaspoon of yeast so the pizza dough was ready faster.The toppings were lightly adapted from http://sallysbakingaddiction.com/2014/08/29/hawaiian-pizza/
